As a Trading Spaces fan and avid viewer of home decorating shows, I enjoy the wall art projects most. Designer Frank was probably the best free-hand artist on Trading Spaces, but he wasn't the first to use free-hand wall art techniques. Being more crafty than artistic, I like to trace or draw my stencils first. Now there are more designs on pre-made stamps that you can use, or try making your own from a sponge or almost anything. Decorating projects including hand-made wall art will make the room unique at a low cost.
These bedroom decorating ideas require that you start with squinting your eyes and looking around the room. Really! Squint your eyes slightly and cast your gaze around the room. Take different vantage points. Lie on the bed. Stand in the doorway. What is the first thing that catches your critical eye? Is it that old picture you are fond of, but tired of looking at? Your bedspread is pretty, but you have had it for years. In other words, find what weighs your eye down. There may be several things, but chances are, it is not the furniture.
Once you have a bed picked out, your old one or a new one that you bought, then you can start to have fun with it. The bed is one of the first things that people will notice when they step into your room. Add a nice comforter set to it and lots of pretty decorative pillows. You can buy canopies and make your bed look sweet and romantic too. When you look at your bed, then you should feel the urge to jump in and get comfortable.
